XT-MC Multiband Compressor is a powerful 4-band compressor with phase-accurate crossovers.

Controls

Input Threshold: The primary control for the XT-MC is the input threshold slider. Pull the slider down until the threshold is matched to your signal level. Then use the individual band thresholds to adjust the effect of each band on your system.

Band controls (top): Each band has an In/Out Switch, a “Solo” button, a threshold slider (with corresponding band input meter).

Band controls (graph): Inside the graph, you can grab a band edge to change the depth of each band, and the crossover frequencies between each band.

LF Trim: This slider provides makeup gain for the lowest compression band.

Attack (200μs – 20ms): The ‘Attack’ knob controls how long it takes the signal above the threshold to reach full compression.

Release (20ms – 200ms): The ‘Release’ knob controls how long it takes the signal, once it falls below the threshold, to return to an uncompressed state.

Knee (3dB – 24dB): The ‘knee’ control defines how far the signal must exceed the threshold to achieve full compression. A smaller knee setting will result in more aggressive compression.

Makeup Gain (0dB – 12dB): The ‘Makeup Gain’ control allows you to apply additional gain to the output signal, to ‘make up’ for the attenuation applied by the compression.

Presets: A few starting-points for common tasks are provided.
