Recording Cue Markers in real time

These figures show how to record a cue onto the timeline in real time. To enable the recording of Cues, you must click the “Rec Cues” button to the left of the mini-timeline:

With the transport rolling, click on the Cue circle (here, Cue A) at the point where you you want the clips in that row to play:

*While on the Cues Page, you can also use key shortcuts F1…F8 to trigger the first 8 clips A through H

*Clips may not start playing immediately. Each clip will instead wait for its quantization interval to occur. This helps to ensure that loops sound in-sync. If you want your sounds to start ‘immediately’ when the Cue is clicked, then set those clips to Quantization=None

Pressing the Stop button will stop all Clip playback and record a ‘stop’ marker in the timeline.

*When requested to stop, Clips always continue playing until the end of the next bar. However, if you place a Stop marker exactly on a bar boundary, then Mixbus knows you really want it to stop there, rather than the end of the next bar.

After you stop the transport, the cue playback interval will be displayed in the mini-time window. The cue start and stop (if any) positions will also be displayed in the Editor window in the “Cue Markers” ruler lane.
