This is a plugin implementation of Fluid Synth, a popular SoundFont playback engine.

ACE Fluid Synth can open SoundFont (.sf2 and .sf3) patch files.

A SoundFont consists of a library of sampled sounds as well as accompanying information on note mapping, sound layering, velocity sensitivity, and other parameters.

While not as powerful as commercial sample libraries like Kontakt, SoundsFonts are readily available online and can be quite high quality. Generally speaking, a SoundFont package can match the capabilities of any state-of-the art “arranger” keyboard from 1995 through 2005.

Fluid Synth uses Mixbus’s generic control panel.

To use Fluid Synth, you must first download a Soundfont (.sf2 or .sf3) file, and then select it using the (SF2 File) browser in the control panel:

A built-in reverb and chorus effect can be utilized to audition sounds without assigning additional plugins on your mixer.
