Template selection:
Click on a template (on the left side), and a description of the template will appear on the right side of the dialog.
Session Location:
“Create Session Folder In”: click this button to choose a different location for your session. For example you might choose to store a band’s recording on a dedicated external hard drive.
Naming a Session:
When creating a new session a dialog box will allow you to name the session, choose a location, and choose a Template to use for the new session.
By default, a date-stamped temporary session name is created for you. In this case, you will be prompted whether to keep the session, or discard it, when you close Mixbus. This is a convenience for those times when you are making a temporary session but you don’t want to commit to keeping it. Note that the temporary session and all its data does already exist on disk and is preserved (within some limits) even if there is a power-outage. But you will be prompted to either name & save it, or delete it, when you close the session.
If you enter a custom name, then Mixbus will store the session on disk and it is not necessary to rename it later.
