Mixbus has a standard keyboard shortcut layout that provides alternate keystrokes that are available in other digital audio workstations. In the following tables, “NumPad” is used to reference the number pad on the right side of the keyboard. Number pad specific keybindings are also listed at Using a number pad.

Moving The Playhead

A left click in the rulers positions the playhead unless Mixbus is recording. You can use (period)>Num>(period) to move the playhead to the n-th marker.

Editing Features

Most edit functions operate on a single ”Edit Point”. The edit point can be defined as the playhead (default) or the mouse. The choice of Edit Point is by default linked to the Zoom Focus.

Mouse Object Mode

This mode provides many different operations on both regions and control points, partially depending on here you click/drag with the mouse. The ”body” of a region is the area where the waveform is displayed.
