Video Demo : Triggering Clips and Cues

The addition of the Cue Page brings a NEW workflow to Mixbus!

Using the new Cue page you can assemble a grid of Audio and MIDI clips to creatively build a song’s foundation or to add embellishments to an existing recording.

Clip triggering can be synchronized to your music with bar- or beat-quantization. Each Clip is an Audio or MIDI file that can be assigned its own Quantization, Length, and other settings to define how it will play.

A row of Clips can be launched together, as a Cue.

You can use Follow Options to automatically advance the currently-playing clip, or even ‘Jump’ to one or more random clips for a drum-fill, and then return to the main groove.

Alternatively you can add Cue Markers to your timeline’s ruler, so you can build a sequence of song elements (verse, chorus, bridge…) as Cues and then trigger those repeatably on the timeline.

Or combine both Cue Markers and Follow Options to create an arrangement that follows your song structure but still allows some algorithmic deviation for each part! The possibilities are endless.
